We are highly qualified childcare practitioners with 14 years professional experience.

Feedback by parents from The Palmers Green High School Nursery have encouraged us to think about providing a service more suited to the needs of working parents of school children. We feel that it is important to provide an environment that nurtures and cares for children combined with healthy, cooked food.

What we do

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage which is divided into 3 prime areas and 4 specific areas. The prime areas begin to develop quickly in response to relationships and experiences, and run through and support learning in all other areas.

The 3 Prime Areas are:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Physical Development
  • Communication and Language
The specific areas include essential skills and knowledge which grow out of the prime areas, and provide important contexts for learning.
 
The 4  Specific Areas:
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design

We provide creative activities for your child which promote learning and development in line with the school curriculum. This is carried out in a relaxed manner and children are also able to rest with a book in a quiet corner, socialise with peers or tackle their homework on the homework table. Activities include a range of board games, arts and crafts, dressing up, role play, sports play, small world play and construction.

We strengthen the positive impressions children have of diversity through sharing and celebrating cultural and religious events in the community and wider society.

Ad hoc places are available subject to availablity though contract; registration forms have to be signed in advance.

Teachers need to be informed of staff names authorised to collect children.

We operate from 1500-1800, Monday to Thursday during term time.
